Art is that which is made with the intention of stimulating the human senses as well as the human mind and/or spirit. There is no general agreed-upon definition of art, since defining the boundaries of "art" is subjective, but the impetus for art is often called human creativity.//Human effort to imitate, supplement, alter, or counteract the work of nature.//craft, expertise, knack, know-how, technique.//In order correctly to define art, it is necessary, first of all, to cease to consider it as a means to pleasure and to consider it as one of the conditions of human life. Viewing it in this way we cannot fail to observe that art is one of the means of intercourse between man and man.//Every work of art causes the receiver to enter into a certain kind of relationship both with him who produced, or is producing, the art, and with all those who, simultaneously, previously, or subsequently, receive the same artistic impression.//Great art is the outward expression of an inner life in the artist, and this inner life will result in his personal vision of the world. //Sometimes the solitary voice can be the best one.//Art is the elimination of the unnecessary.

Thanks for visting and commenting on the nature of art.
I've enjoyed going through your catalogue and am particularly drawn to the pieces that are in a similar vein to this one. What medium are you using? These feel very organic, like sheet metal left in the rain.
It's always interesting discussing art and it's definitions.
I'm glad you like what I do.
The ones you wondered about actually ARE metal sheets that have been left on the ground for years until I found them and painted on them.
